Attorney Doug Emerson

Doug Emerson is a natural-born Texan and was raised in the North Texas area. He served in the United States Marine Corps, managed karate studios, and later worked in the casino industry. Mr. Emerson has taught personal protection and containment techniques to both federal and state law enforcement officers. Mr. Emerson is also a member of the National Rifle Association.
Doug Emerson attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and earned a B.A. Degree in Criminal Justice. He attended California Western School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor Degree.
Upon returning to Texas, Mr. Emerson worked for a short time in a civil litigation firm before establishing the Law Office of Doug Emerson. This office has been in continuous operation for more than 30 years.
Doug Emerson is licensed by the Texas Supreme Court and admitted to practice in all Texas Courts. In addition, Mr. Emerson is licensed to practice in the Federal District Court, Northern District of Texas, Federal District Court, Western District of Texas, and the Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals based in New Orleans, LA.
